Aegis Dental Group, a new dental office in Elkhart is offering the public an opportunity to compete to win a smile makeover. “A smile makeover can be worth $20,000 depending on what a patient needs and the results can change a person’s life”, Dr. Guy Moore, owner of Aegis Dental Group says excitedly. “We are proud to be a new part of the Elkhart and Goshen business community and we want to offer the community something special.”
This something special is the Aegis Healthy Smile Makeover, a contest for anyone who may not like their smile and has concerns about their dental health. Many people live with unhealthy mouths – gum disease, cavities, infections because they aren’t aware of the overall health risks. Moore says this contest raises awareness about dental health and aesthetics and gives people who may not be able to afford quality dental care a chance to win a new smile.
“The contest is not for the ugliest smile, it is a contest for a new life”, says Aegis dental assistant, Tammy Tyler. “When someone’s smile is changed, their whole appearance changes and their life becomes a lot more positive.” The contest kicks off August 23, 2008. To enter, a person simply stops by the Aegis Dental Group office, fills out an entry form and gets their picture taken. The entry form allows the patient to inform Dr. Moore and his associate, Dr. Steven Hodges, about themselves, their dental concerns and why they need a new smile.
Moore and Hodges will choose the top four contestants whom they think need and deserve to win. They will consider the contestant’s photograph, their dental needs, medical needs, personal, social and economic needs as well as the effect a makeover will have on the winner’s life. From the top four contestants, the public will have the final vote on who wins. To view the final four and to cast a vote, the public will go to the Aegis office, located on Hwy 33 by Starbuck’s and Meijer, to the Aegis web site, aegistrusteddentistry.com, or to Froggy 102.7 website ilovemyfroggy.com.
The winner will be announced Friday, September 19, 2008 and the makeover will begin thereafter. |
